MQ Basel in Fall & Winter
MesseQuartier Basel continues to thrive in the second half of 2025 as a vibrant destination for culture, entertainment, and shared experiences. MQ Basel is where people gather to enjoy music, discover new things, celebrate, and make memories. True to its concept, the district offers an open, diverse, and community-rooted space.
Experience, encounter and enjoy
The season kicks off on October 16 with the Baloise Session, where major names in pop, soul, jazz, and rock take the stage at the Event Hall. The candlelit setting creates an intimate and moving concert atmosphere.
From October 25, the traditional Herbstmesse Basel returns, filling the city with colorful stalls and thrilling rides that extend far beyond the exhibition grounds. Simultaneously, the Weinfestival brings together wine lovers, expert vintners, and fine culinary delights for a festive and social experience.
On November 3, the MQ courtyard welcomes the new season with the return of the Winter Market at the beloved Bambusnest. With yurts and fondue gondolas, it's the perfect spot for relaxed evenings with friends, team dinners, birthdays, or company celebrations.
On November 28–29, the Tension Winterfestival brings an energy boost: for the first time in Basel, renowned electronic artists like Jan Böhmer (Live), Jan Blomqvist Band, Klangphonics, and Schrotthagen will transform the Event Hall into a playground of sound, lights, and nightlife.
Another cultural highlight rounds out the year: from November 13–16, FESTIVA BASEL by Expolat premieres at MQ Basel. The event celebrates cultural and commercial exchange between Switzerland and Latin America with four days of music, dance, fashion, design, and cuisine – a vibrant networking space and a bridge between cultures.
The MQ Basel is proud to host standout events like Baloise Session, FESTIVA BASEL, and the Winter Market – all of which strengthen its role as a lively meeting point in the city and a place for shared, meaningful experiences.
