MesseQuartier Update – Spring Highlights for Everyone

Spring at MesseQuartier Basel (MQ Basel) brings an exciting line-up of events for families, music and culture enthusiasts, design lovers and partygoers alike. In the coming weeks, our vibrant event destination will offer a wide variety of experiences that invite people to connect, discover and enjoy time together.

Bounce Circus – Jumping Fun for All Ages

From 14–29 March 2026, MesseQuartier Basel will transform into the region’s largest inflatable playground. Bounce Circus features giant inflatable attractions with climbing and sliding elements, obstacle courses and interactive play areas – a highlight for families and anyone looking for active fun. Adults can also join the action: on 21 March, an Adults Only Session will take place from 19:00 to 22:00.

Interfinity 2026 – Where Music Meets Inspiration

From 7–20 March 2026, the Interfinity Festival presents an ambitious music and cultural programme across the city of Basel. On 19 and 20 March, Hall 1 at MesseQuartier Basel will become one of the festival’s stages. In the building complex designed by Basel’s star architects Herzog & de Meuron, an 80-piece symphony orchestra and a light installation by Nick Verstand will interact with the hall’s impressive 220 × 90 metre architecture, creating a striking fusion of science, music and light art.

Spring Break Festival – Festival for Everyone

The Spring Break Festival at Bambusnest from 15 to 19 April will bring festival vibes with a variety of event formats. Highlights include an ABBA party, a student party, events across two floors, a Coffee Rave, and a Kids Day, offering a special experience for our youngest visitors.

Street Food Festival – A Culinary Journey

From 8–10 May 2026, the Street Food Festival will bring international cuisine, great music and a relaxed festival atmosphere to MesseQuartier Basel. Visitors can discover local and global specialties – a true feast for all senses.

FANTASY BASEL – Comic, Gaming & Pop-Culture

From 14–16 May 2026, FANTASY BASEL – The Swiss Comic Con will take place, one of Europe’s largest pop culture conventions. Across more than 100,000 m², visitors can explore worlds of film and television, gaming, cosplay, comics and anime, along with a wide range of interactive experiences – a magnet for fans and creatives of all generations.

Sports at MQ Basel – Padelwerk & Soccer Court

Padelwerk at MesseQuartier Basel offers padel, pickleball and badminton in a modern setting – ideal for active breaks, sporting challenges or company and team events. The facility will remain open until the end of April 2026.Another sporting highlight is the Soccer Court on Messeplatz, available daily and easily bookable via the app.

Looking Ahead: Bambusnest Summer Opening

Following the Spring Break Festival in April, Bambusnest will take a short break. It will return just in time for summer: we warmly invite you to the season opening on the first weekend of July. Expect an urban atmosphere, relaxed evenings, great food and a vibrant summer programme in the heart of MesseQuartier Basel.
